GALCIT has invited Northrop Grumman for a special one day visit
in which Caltech graduates, currently with Northrop Grumman, will present selected
research topics. The Northrop Grumman delegation will be headed by Dr. Alexis
Livanos, (Corporate Vice President and President, Northrop Grumman Space Technology
- formerly TRW) who is himself a Caltech graduate. Dr. Livanos is the
chair of the GALCIT's external advisory board. Other Northrop Grumman participants
will include Albert F. Myers (Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Technology
for Northrop Grumman Corporation), Dr. Thomas E. Romesser (Vice President
of Technology Development for Northrop Grumman Space Technology), Dr. R.
Bruce Gerding (Vice President of Planning & Administration for Northrop
Grumman Space Technology), Dr. Dwight Streit, (Vice President - Foundation
Technologies, NG Space Technology), and Dr. Ray
Haynes (Northrop Grumman,
Director of University Alliances & Development).
The program will begin with introductions by Ares Rosakis, opening
remarks by Paul Jennings, Dave Rutledge, and an overview of Northrop
Grumman by Alexis Livanos. There will also be a presentation
by our new JPL Chief Technologist and GALCIT professor, Dr. Paul
Dimotakis. The technical talks will be presented
by our Northrop Grumman/Caltech graduates who will provide a
snapshot of technical activities in their various sectors.
