Ellen K. Longmire

Ellen Longmire is Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota. She received an A.B. in physics from Princeton University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. Prior to receiving her Ph.D., she worked as an engineer at Hauni-Werke Koerber & Co, Honeywell Corporation, and SAIC. Professor Longmire currently directs research in the areas of particle-laden flow, turbulence, liquid-liquid mixtures, and fluid/structure interactions in MEMS.
