Lars Lading

Sensor Technology Center Denmark

Lars Lading is currently managing director of Sensor Technology Center, which was established in connection with a large Danish initiative on sensor technology. He is also an adjunct full Professor at the Technical University of Denmark and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics. He has previously headed R&D departments in industry and at a national laboratory. He has also worked in academia in the US and in Sweden. He is a member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, The Danish Council of Technical Sciences (a funding agency) and has served on a number of national and international evaluation and planning committees. He has published extensively on sensors and measurement systems, light scattering, optical and electronic information processing and stochastic processes and has four patents and three pending. He has played an instrumental role in the formation of six new companies. He was trained as an EE with a thesis on the control of unstable objects at the Technical University of Denmark.
