Abstract-
The motion of the tri-junction formed when a fluid-fluid interface intersects a solid is an important feature of spreading, coating, containerless crystal growth, and heat-transfer processes. The lecture will discuss the fundamental mechanics of the dynamics along with generalizations that include phase transformation, viscoelastic effects, thermocapillarity, and inertia.
