Department of Mechanical Engineering
University of Delaware

Hai Wang received his B.Eng degree in Polymer Materials Science and Engineering from East Chinese University of Technology, his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, and Ph.D. in Fuel Science from Penn State. Following a postdoctoral stay at Princeton University, He joined the faculty of University of Delaware. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. His primary research interests are thermodynamics and reaction kinetics of combustion, combustion-generated pollutants, and application of quantum chemistry and reaction rate theories in chemically reacting flow simulations. He is the recipient of the NSF CAREER award in 1999.
