Abstract-
A brief description is given of the derivation of the first order gradient equations of doubly curved shock waves for non-uniform flow of a perfect gas. These equations are then applied to a series of simple and not-so-simple curved shock configurations. The potentially outrageous behaviour of three coalescing shock waves is exposed.
